Safeguarding Duty of Care

Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT)

The Hostile Environment Awareness Training or HEAT is to create awareness of how to respond to scenarios likely to encounter while working in a hostile or hazardous environment. Contrary to the training “Security Awareness for Humanitarian Staff” has HEAT a large “field component,” where participants practice live what was taught in the classroom.
